Our Camp’s Features
Sage Horse Camp has a great location with many amenities, including a trail system on DNR land, a trail course in camp, an outdoor arena, a 40-foot round pen and more. We also have a party pavilion where all ages are welcome to enjoy their time. This is a perfect spot for family reunions, big barbeques with friends, and other fun gatherings. All campsite rentals include two horse corrals, a picnic table and a fire pit. The camp has out houses, a wash area and stock water on site.
Sequim is situated in a “banana belt” area, resulting in warmer temperatures, less rainfall, and overall beautiful weather. You will love the stunning views of the Olympic Mountains, Salish Sea, and Cascade Mountains. Visit our tranquil mountain retreat soon, where you can truly appreciate nature's beauty.
Our Camp’s Story
Del and Judy Sage had a dream; So, in 2014 Layton Hill Horse Camp opened the gate. It's now 2023 and in honor of our parents we are changing the name to "Sage Horse Camp" this camp was inspired by our parents and their love of family, horses and the outdoors. The Sage Family has lived on the property for 36 years and has a deep love for this land. Sharing it with friends and family brings us great joy. Thus, the dream became a journey to create this one-of-a-kind experience for horse enthusiasts and campers. Today, Sage Horse Camp is a welcoming environment for families and individuals to ride, relax, and rejuvenate.
